Olivier Boniface, whose father created Wincave, could not be in Paris Vinocamp but followed the event via Twitter behind the screen- for which he has finally found a interest ;-). I met Olivier there 4 years, and our paths crossed again at the last Paris edition when he brought the wine cellar to house the Live Tasting. An incredible delivery and thank you once again to Wincave for the cool! Even though Olivier did not stay long, he found Vinocamp an enriching event for professionals in the sector, who can meet freely and support each other’s ideas.
For the record, historically Mr. Boniface Sr. was in the method of manufacturing and engineering. More specifically, his role was to facilitate design for future projects in the field of sport. In 1987, his father went to an auction of machinery, where he met Mr. Martin who had just bought Eurocaves. In fact, Mr. Martin was making dryer cabinets, to manufacture mold. Eurocaves seemed perfect. Mr. Boniface also loves wine and found it a bit weird to change the cellar dryer. Finally at a second meeting, Mr. Boniface father convinced Mr. Martin to become designer of interiors at Eurocave, bringing with him improvements like: the drawers, temperature control …
Mr. Martin died, and Eurocave was sold in 1997. Boniface then developed Wincave. Building Winecave was no problem, however the distribution was everything. So Wincave met Darty met, its only customer until 2008. In 2000, Olivier took over the business from his father and rebuilt a new business model with Internet sales- another distribution channel! It was difficult start, but today they enjoy a growth of 20% per year. Why? A good quality/price, direct sales to the consumer, modern design and a narrow range – see for yourself : o)
If Wincave interest you, you receive 5% on the models already available with the code “Vinocamp” ( the offer is not available on presales ) . The company launches 4-5 rounds of production per year.
