Stepping out of your comfort zone to solve problems.

After facing the problem of not having a complete or accurate tool to help explore Port Wine Lodges, Gabriella and Ryan Opaz, the founders of Catavino.net, decided to step in and create one. As Digital Communicators, the first thought and easiest way to solve this problem would have been to create an app or a website; but instead, they created a physical map. With no mapmaking experience, this was a challenging project, but, in the end, the best solution for a tourist without wifi or having to pay roaming fees on their smartphone.

This is just a small introduction to the question Sara and Francisco, key members of the Catavino team, want to raise. How often do you step out of your comfort zone to provide the best solution to a problem?

Thanks! That’s an unusual one, going back to basic when technology isn’t support. I like the subject, maybe we can focus on problem the limit that technologies bring in tourism?
